$14b of foreign currency paid for imports of basic goods since March

TEHRAN- The Iranian Industry Minister Reza Rahmani announced that since the beginning of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2018) the government has paid $14 billion of foreign currency at official exchange rate to imports of basic goods.

As IRNA quoted the minister, the allocated amount has been supplied from the country’s oil revenues.
Each dollar costs 42,000 rials at official rate.
